If you are a subscriber (or thinking of becoming one) and want to watch multiple channels in multiple rooms at the same time, then XtraView is the affordable solution for you. It allows you to link two decoders in the same household under a single subscription, maximising your DStv Viewing. No more fighting over the remote control!
In order to take up the XtraView solution you need to have two of the following XtraView capable decoders:
- 1110 (standard decoder)
- SD PVR (standard definition PVR decoder – the pvr decoder currently in the market)Â
- HD PVR (high definition PVR decoder)
If you are unsure of which decoder model you have, you can find the model name/number on the front panel of your decoder.

Two different channels in two different rooms
- 1110 1110 (available Now)
With this combination you will be able to watch two different channels in two different rooms at the same time. This combination is currently available.* conditions apply - 1110 HD PVR (available by the end of the year)
With this combination you will be able to watch two different channels in two different rooms, whilst recording two additional channels at the same time.

As you know the HD PVR decoder is a single view decoder that allows you to record two channels at the same time. With this combination you will be able to watch two different channels in two different rooms at the same time, whilst recording four additional channels.* conditions apply.
* To get connected all you need is the chosen combination of decoders, MultiChoice accredited installation, monthly subscription fee, plus an additional R55 access fee. Not available to commercial establishments
Three different channels in three different rooms
- HD PVR SD PVR (possible now)
With this combination you be able to watch three different channels in three different rooms at the same time, whilst recording three additional channels. This combination will be available by the end of the year, however, as an interim solution if you decide to take up this offer, you will only pay a single subscription plus an additional R55 access fee (which you already pay for your SD PVR subscription – so the good news is that you will not be paying anything extra).. Please ensure that your installation is done correctly as we will be updating the software automatically later in the year.* conditions apply.
